Who we are

Trvrse is a cross-border money app built by Nexogen Limited (“Nexogen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Trvrse mobile app or this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have over it.

Because Trvrse moves real money and verifies real identities, we collect more than a typical app — this policy is written to be specific about exactly what that includes, not to bury it in generic language.

Information we collect

Account information. Your email address, phone number, and the display name you choose when you sign up. If you sign in with a password, we never see or store the password itself — authentication is handled by our identity provider, Supabase.

Identity verification (KYC) information. To meet financial regulations and unlock higher transfer limits, we collect government-issued ID documents, a live selfie for identity matching, proof-of-address documents, and — for business or corporate accounts — company registration and director documents. These are transmitted securely and stored in access-controlled cloud storage; they are never made public and are only accessed for verification and regulatory purposes.

Financial and transaction information. Wallet balances, currencies held, transfer amounts, recipient names and bank details, transaction history, exchange rates applied, and virtual card details you create in the app (Trvrse stores only the last four digits of any card — never the full card number or security code).

Biometric authentication. If you enable Face ID, fingerprint, or similar unlock on your device, that biometric matching happens entirely on your device through your phone’s own operating system. Trvrse never receives, transmits, or stores your fingerprint or facial scan — we only receive a yes/no confirmation that your device authenticated you, and a setting recording that biometric unlock is turned on.

Device and usage data. Basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and diagnostic logs, used to keep the app working correctly and to investigate bugs or fraud.

How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account, and verify your identity as required by financial regulation.
  • To process transfers, currency conversions, card issuance, and wallet funding you request.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and money-laundering risk.
  • To communicate with you about your account, transactions, and security alerts.
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations as a financial service.
  • To improve the app’s reliability, performance, and features.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers necessary to actually run Trvrse, each bound by their own data protection obligations:

  • Supabase — authentication and account sign-in.
  • Paystack and Flutterwave — payment processing, card funding, and bank account verification.
  • Wise — cross-border transfer execution and foreign exchange.
  • Termii — SMS delivery for phone verification, where enabled.
  • Cloud storage providers (e.g. Amazon Web Services) — secure, access-controlled storage of KYC documents.

We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or regulatory request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Trvrse, our users, or the public.

Data retention

We keep your account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a period afterward as required by financial recordkeeping and anti-money-laundering regulations. KYC documents are retained only as long as necessary for verification and regulatory compliance, then securely deleted.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information. You can update most account details directly in the app under Profile settings. For anything else — including a deletion request — contact us at arthur@nexxogenn.com. Note that we may need to retain certain financial records even after a deletion request, where required by law.

Data security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access-controlled storage for sensitive documents, and security PINs and biometric locks to protect your account. No system is completely immune to risk, but we design Trvrse to minimize what we collect and to protect what we hold.

International data transfers

Trvrse serves users across multiple countries, and the providers listed above may process or store data outside your home country. Where this happens, we rely on providers with appropriate security and contractual safeguards in place.

Children's privacy

Trvrse is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Trvrse evolves. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes, we’ll notify you in the app or by email.
